We made it!

I'm a bit late in posting this, since we've been in the house for almost 3 weeks now. The flight went well, it was short, just 3 hours, so I was able to keep the kids reasonable entertained. Kevin and his brother Gary made the drive in our minivan and met us at the airport in Boston. It was surreal to be landing somewhere for the first time, and then realizing that this was now home. Our home is an hours drive north of Boston, but surprisingly there was less snow on the ground here! The girls were very dissapointed, they wanted to start sledding immediately. It took almost 10 days for the winter weather to catch up to us, but boy did it ever! The first round was a blizzard with almost a foot of snow, the next two have been a day of steady snow but only 6 inches. The snow here is powdery and fluffy, not the slushy icy stuff I was used to in GA. When the air is dry it's actually nice outside, sunny and crisp. As long as we're dressed for the snow, it's easy enough to get around. One day last week the road were clear and there was no snow in the forecast, so I loaded the kids into the car to run some errands. When I look at the dash, it read 13 degrees!

Here are some photos of the house and the kids from the last few weeks. I'll post more, and more details, but for now school is canceled and the girls are getting cranky. Enjoy!
